• The engine has to be clean (there should not be oil leaking over the engine).

brakes.

loads.
• The brake pedal must have a non-slip surface.

• The brake pedal must not be able to be depressed at most halfway down
towards the bottom

• Pump the brake pedal 4 to 5 times with the engine off.
• Then keep the pedal depressed.
• Start the engine.
• If the pedal now sinks then it is a sign that the vacuum amplifier is working.
• Can be one circuit in the service brake, or the parking brake
• Must be able to brake the car safely if the service brake fails.
• Must be mechanical and act on at least 2 wheels.
• Must be able to hold the car on an 18% incline and stand in the clamped
position.

(Or step back 1 m and the light limit should have dropped 1 cm)
